Sealife is my ocean-themed second album, recorded live with just guitar and voice. Its metaphor stems from the Icarus myth: I flew too close to the Sun, uprooting my old sense of self... and fell from grace. In the blue depths of Gaia, I found myself again – it's basically a tale of death and rebirth. The first album Insomnia coincided with a profound inner metamorphosis that led to a dark night of the soul in 2013. I didn't know who I was anymore. In the summer, the miracle of nature helped me heal, recovering the profound connection to the wild from my childhood. I moved from Bordeaux to Toulouse, where the atmosphere was just right. I fell in love and started to draw in colours. Learning drum journeying with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies truly felt like home. The cover artwork, titled Welcome Home, explores the evolution of life in the seas.
